Academic Calendar

The academic calendar governs the rhythm of the entire academic year at HIMS — when semesters begin and end, when examinations fall, and when students can expect breaks.

Typical Structure of the Academic Year

• Fall Semester — typically August/September through December/January
• Spring Semester — typically February through June
• Mid-semester assessments — scheduled midway through each semester
• Final examinations — scheduled in coordination with the Khyber Medical University examination calendar
• Clinical rotations — scheduled alongside theory blocks, coordinated with LRH and FCTH placement availability

The precise dates for the current academic year — orientation week, exact examination windows, and public holidays — are published each year by the college administration once confirmed with KMU. The most current version is always available from the college office and posted on the Student’s Noticeboard.
