HIMS College of Nursing is committed to providing every student, faculty member, and staff member with a safe, respectful, and harassment-free environment, in accordance with the Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010, and the applicable guidelines of HEC, PNMC, and Khyber Medical University.

Purpose of the Committee

The committee exists to receive, investigate, and resolve complaints of harassment fairly, confidentially, and without retaliation against the person who comes forward. It also works proactively — through orientation sessions and awareness material — to make clear what respectful conduct looks like on this campus and in clinical placement settings.

What Counts as Harassment

Harassment includes any unwelcome verbal, physical, or written conduct of a sexual nature, or conduct that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment on the basis of gender. This applies equally on campus and during clinical rotations at LRH and FCTH.

How to Raise a Concern

Any student, faculty member, or staff member who experiences or witnesses harassment is strongly encouraged to come forward. Complaints can be submitted in writing to the committee through the college administration office. Every complaint is handled confidentially, and the complainant is protected from retaliation throughout the process, as required by law.
