SLRC — Self Learning Resource Centre
Clinical knowledge doesn’t stick from a single lecture — it’s built through repeated, active engagement with material. The Self Learning Resource Centre (SLRC) gives HIMS students a dedicated space to do exactly that, outside the structure of the regular timetable.

- Reference textbooks covering all major nursing and allied health subjects
- Nursing journals and periodicals for staying current with practice guidelines
- Quiet individual study carrels for focused revision
- Group study rooms for collaborative case discussions and peer teaching
- Access to digital learning resources and past examination papers
How Students Use It
Ahead of OSCEs and clinical placements, students often use the SLRC to work through case scenarios together — talking through a patient presentation the way they will eventually need to reason through one at the bedside. It complements, rather than duplicates, the college library and the Clinical Skill Lab.
